The university education had been restricted to the outstanding student, where the admission rate did not exceed 10% of the successful students and that was before 1989. Upon the rise of the higher education revolution, the number of students increased from 38,000 male and female students in year 1989/1990 to 510,708 male and female students in 2010/2011 spread all over the Sudan states which gave a great opportunity to poor persons’ children and orphans to continue their university education and participate in the building of their communities. Therefore, new means must be devised for social intervention. That’s why the university student sponsorship project has emerged.
